How prepared are you?
Most people are not very well prepared when it comes to a job search.
In fact, most people are not prepared for many of life’s unexpected events.
Some you can’t be prepared for. Others you can.
Be helpful.
It’s important to remember, as with many things in life you can’t always succeed alone.
Always give more than you receive and help others whenever you can.
If you are helpful to others they will naturally want to help in return. This is not necessarily the same as networking because you are reaching out to help first.
Meet new people and make connections.
If you lost your job tomorrow, do you know who you would contact to help you find a new position?
If you don’t, make a list. Then start nurturing the relationships now before you need them.
